Gandaria (Bouea macrophylla) plants contain antioxidant compounds that can reduce free radicals. Free radicals are one of the causes various degenerative diseases. The purpose this study was to determine fraction had highest activity, and secondary metabolites contained in most active B. macrophylla seeds based on LCMS/MS analysis. Maceration with ethanol solvent. Ethanol maserate concentrated fractionated by liquid-liquid extraction method using n-hexane, ethyl acetate as solvents. Antioxidant activity measured radical scavenger 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhidrazil a source characterization Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer. seed extract has % yield 31.75%. mass compared other fractions strong an IC50 value 2.95 ppm. contains tannins, phenolic, flavonoid dan alkaloid compounds.
